Bedford Man Sold Crack To VA Medical Center Residents: DOJ

The man was caught selling crack to a witness who cooperated with police officers at the Bedford VA center in 2017.

BEDFORD, MA — A Bedford man was sentenced to time served after he was caught selling crack to residents at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center campus in Bedford. Michael Sexton, 59, was sentenced to time served, which was two months, and two years of supervised release.

Law enforcement was tipped off that Sexton was selling crack to residents at the VA Medical center in January 2017. Police used a cooperating witness to catch Sexton selling the drug on the campus four different times.

In October 2018, Sexton pleaded guilty to distributing crack cocaine and was subsequently accepted into the Massachusetts District Court sponsored RISE Program.
