Police are still seeking donations of mobile devices. Here's how to get involved.
BEDFORD, MA — The Bedford Police Department collected over 300 mobile phones for soldiers for the Cell Phones for Soldiers nonprofit organization, Chief Robert Bongiorno announced Friday.
According to Bongiorno's announcement, the police department has collected over 300 mobile phones through a donation bin in the lobby of the police department. The Bedford Police Department has worked with the nonprofit for the past 12 years, actively participating in events with the Berquest family, who founded the organization in 2004.
We are pleased to support Cell Phones for Soldiers, as they are an instrumental organization that aides in soldiers’ well-being overseas,” said Officer Kristen Dineen in a press release, who handles donations for Cell Phones for Soldiers at the department.
