Bedford Police Seek Robbery Suspect

Police say the suspect demanded money from the teller, and fled the bank with an undetermined amount of cash.

BEDFORD, MA — Bedford Police are actively searching for a suspect involved in a bank robbery which occurred at the TD Bank on Great Road in Bedford Sunday.

Police Chief Robert Bongiorno announced Sunday that police responded to the bank at 175 Great Rd. for a hold-up alarm and several 911 calls from witnesses in the parking lot. Police later determined that a man had approached the teller and demanded money, later fleeing with an unknown amount of cash.

No one was injured and no weapon was found. Bedford Police and the Burlington Police K-9 Unit were not immediately able to find the suspect.

Police described the suspect as being 6 feet tall with a slender build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with the United States Army logo on it, and dark-colored gloves and pants. The suspect's face was covered.

Anyone with information is asked to immediately contact the Bedford Police Department at 781-275-1212. The FBI Bank Robbery Task Force is assisting Bedford police in the investigation.
