Bedford Police To Wear Pink Patches In Support Of Breast Cancer Awareness Month

BEDFORD — Chief Robert Bongiorno is pleased to announce that members of the Bedford Police Department will wear pink patches in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

During October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, uniformed personnel are empowered to replace their standard shoulder patch with the Bedford Police Pink Patch as a reminder of the department’s commitment to raising awareness among those they serve.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month seeks to increase education about the importance of early detection and prevention in the fight against breast cancer, and to support breast cancer patients and research organizations in combating this devastating disease.

“Unfortunately, breast cancer affects so many of us here at the department and in the community, whether it be through a family member, friend or loved one,” said Chief Bongiorno. “We are honored to wear these patches, do our part to raise awareness and show support for those around us who have been impacted by this terrible disease.”
