Bedford Street Roadwork to Begin Today
Travel Bedford Street in Lexington often? You'll want to make note of this.

A three-month project to replace an unlined water main on Bedford Street in Lexington is expected to commence Monday, June 10, according to a notice from Lexington's Department of Public Works.
From the announcement, which you can read in full here on Patch:
The unlined water main on Bedford Street from Worthen Road to the Minuteman Bikeway must be replaced to assure highest water quality and to assure the availability of water volume and pressure to fight fires. The road will be open to local traffic but it will narrow to one lane with traffic alternating directions in the area of the work. Every effort will be made to detour through traffic to other streets to relieve congestion. If possible seek alternate routes.
