Bedford Unveils New Traffic Light At Key Intersection
The new signals, which include a blinking yellow arrow, were turned on Monday morning.

BEDFORD, MA – New traffic signals at the intersection of Mudge Way and The Great Road were made operational Monday morning, according to the town. The town of Bedford announced late last week that the Massachusetts Department of Transportation scheduled the lights to go fully operational on Monday.
The left turn from The Great Road to Mudge Way includes a new blinking yellow arrow symbol. The blinking left arrow follows a green arrow and allows vehicles to turn left onto Mudge Way when it is safe to do so. When the blinking phase is complete, the arrow will turn to a normal solid yellow arrow and then a red signal.
The Bedford Police Station, Bedford Free Public Library and Bedford High School are all located on Mudge Way.
