Billerica Man to Face Charges for Bedford Break-in
The man allegedly smashed a window with a rock and stole an iPad, which led police right to his home.

A Billerica man has been summonsed to court to face charges he smashed a Bedford home’s window with a rock and stole an iPad.
Police have not publicly identified the 28-year-old man who will be charged with breaking and entering, malicious destruction of personal property and larceny over $250, Bedford Police Chief Robert Bongiorno and Billerica Police Chief Daniel Rosa announced.
The charges stem from a theft call Bedford Police received Wednesday around 6:45 p.m. A Myers Lane homeowner reported a bedroom window in the home had been smashed and the iPad was missing. The homeowner and police from both towns used the “Find my iPad” app to locate the device in a Boston Road apartment in Bellerica.

“Together, with the Billerica Police Department, we were able to identify and locate the suspect involved in this case,” Chief Bongiorno said. “This is a perfect example of how community partners can work together to fight crime.”
Both departments informed the suspect he would be receiving summonses in connection with the break-in.
