Black Bear 'Evidence' In Bedford, Police Say

BEDFORD, MA – Bears may have moved in to Bedford, according to police. The department said "evidence" of possible black bear activity was found at Chip-in Farm on Hartwell Road.

This includes destroyed bee hives and other damage; however, no black bears have actually been spotted.

Police urge residents to not approach wildlife and keep an eye on pets. Anyone who sees a bear should call the Bedford Police Department.
