College For Kids Offers Summer Adventures in Fitness and Writing
Kids can explore writing, as well as sports & fitness activities in two upcoming summer programs – and it's not too late to register!

Kids with a wide variety of interests have a lot to choose from with College for Kids, Middlesex Community College’s summer programs for young learners.
Designed to provide kids, ages 8 to 15, with fun and challenging opportunities to explore careers, gain new knowledge and skills, and boost self-confidence, College for Kids runs July 10 through Aug. 17, on the Bedford and Lowell campuses. And, it’s not too late to register!

“Experience Writing” (ages 8-12) -- From pavement to paper, we will approach the writing process via daily adventurous road trips and experiences. Students will gain a stronger grasp of grammar concepts, creative-writing techniques, and essay format. Confident and emerging writers with a sense of adventure and a love of learning new things are encouraged to attend. Offered 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, July 17-20, in Bedford. “Sports & Recreation” (ages 10-15) -- Participate in a wide variety of fitness opportunities, including basketball, soccer, volleyball, croquet, badminton, ultimate Frisbee, Frisbee golf, ping pong, kickball, whiffle ball, Four Square, hiking, flag football, capture the flag, and more. Days will be jam-packed with action, movement and physical activity! Introductory in nature, activities will focus on recreation and fun, rather than competition. All skill levels and abilities welcome. Offered 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, July 17-20, in Bedford. (Cost: $312; Course number: YTH 681 30)
