BEDFORD, MA – A Lowell man copped to committing robberies in Bedford and Lowell earlier this year, according to the Middlesex District Attorney's office. Daniel Clark, 47, was sentenced Thursday to 8-9 years in state prison after pleading guilty to two counts of unarmed robbery.

The robberies took place in Lowell and Bedford on consecutive days in September. Lowell police were called to Rogers Street around 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 19 for a report of a bank robbery. The robber had worn a surgical mask and handed a note to the teller asking for cash without dyes. He fled with approximately $1,700, the DA said.

The following day, a bank robbery was reported on The Great Road in Bedford around 3:05 p.m. The teller told police the suspect wore a surgical mask and demanded $20 and $50 bills before fleeing with about $773, according to the DA.
