Home Invasion Suspects Held Without Bail

The two men are accused of invading a North Road home, shooting one man and beating two others.

The two men arrested in connection to a violent home invasion in Bedford have been ordered held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing.

Vini Proeung, 20, and Michael Gonzalez, 21, both of Lowell are charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault to maim, masked armed robbery, home invasion, use of a firearm in a felony, and possession of a firearm without a license. The two men, along with a third, allegedly invaded a home in Bedford early last Wednesday morning, shooting one man in the home and beating two others. They were reportedly looking for drugs in the house.

“Our concern remains with the victims as they recover from this violent intrusion in the middle of the night,” said Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan. “Their injuries were serious enough to warrant going to the hospital and what they endured would be frightening for anyone, being surprised with noise and violence and then having to fend off an attack.”
