Lexington’s Crafty Yankee Hosts 25th Annual Giving Tree

The holiday season can be a lonely time for older adults with no family nearby, but thanks to a partnership between Minuteman Senior Services and Crafty Yankee, and the generosity of Crafty Yankee customers, over 350 gift cards will be delivered to homebound seniors in the coming weeks.

For 25 years, owner Kathy Fields and staff have set up the Giving Tree in the store in early November, and on its branches hang hundreds of personalized tags with specific requests. Holiday shoppers choose a tag and return a few days later bearing the gift, which is then delivered to a senior in need by Minuteman Senior Services staff. This year, gifts are requested by December 12 please.
