MCC to Host Career Development Webinar for Alumni
MCC's free Alumni Association will host a webinar for alumni, current students and faculty at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 8
Middlesex Community College is committed to preparing students for the future. For 50 years, Middlesex has helped over 26,000 alumni on their academic and professional paths. In collaboration with MCC’s Career Development Office, the college’s free Alumni Association will host a webinar for alumni, current students and faculty at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 8.
Part of the MCC Career Development and Alumni Career Readiness Series, this webinar will focus on the hospitality industry and feature panelists who are active in the field from local businesses and organizations.
“The webinar offers a timely view on a specific industry, how the industry is responding to COVID-19, and what the climate of the job market is for the field,” said Amy Lee, MCC’s Director of Annual Giving & Alumni Relations. “The panelists include MCC alums, so students can see the real-world applications of their MCC degrees and certificates, and the alumni panelists will have the opportunity to give back to the college and make connections with fellow alums in their industries.”

Panelist Danielle Rico graduated from MCC in 2012. She now works as the Event Manager at Kimball Farm. Rico believes MCC set her up for success at Lasell College – where she received a bachelor’s in Hospitality and Event Management – both academically and financially.
“MCC was amazing for me,” she said. “I was not someone who did well in high school nor did I enjoy school – MCC changed that for me. I loved coming to class daily and really connected with all of my professors.”
