MCC’s Engineering Program Now Offers Four Tracks
MCC's Engineering Program now offers four tracks: Mechanical, Civil/Environmental, Electrical/Computer and Chemical Engineering

Middlesex Community College is a great place start an engineering degree! MCC’s Engineering Science Transfer Degree Program now offers four tracks: Mechanical, Civil/Environmental, Electrical/Computer and, new this fall, Chemical Engineering.
Registration is now open for fall-semester courses at Middlesex. Classes begin Wednesday, Sept. 4, on the Bedford and Lowell campuses, and online. For a complete listing of MCC’s fall course offerings, visit: https://www.middlesex.mass.edu/registration
“Our Engineering Programs serve as a pathway for students who want to complete their associate degree at MCC, then transfer to a bachelor’s-degree engineering program at a four-year institution,” explained Associate Professor Michele Stein, Chairwoman of Computing & Engineering Technology. Graduates of MCC Engineering Programs are prepared to transfer as juniors and require an additional two years of full-time study to complete their bachelor's degree, she added.

Starting an Engineering degree at MCC has distinct advantages, including small class sizes and more one-on-one attention, Stein stressed.
“At a large university, all your first-year intro courses are large-auditorium classes. But my classes max out at 18 students,” she said. “And I meet with my students if they have questions. At a university, you won’t be meeting with your professor, you’ll be meeting with a teaching assistant.”
