MCC’s Free Spring Concert Series Begins with Music for Guitar
Join us for "Melodies Through Ages & Places: Music for Solo Guitar, and Two Guitars and Tenor," to be held at 8 p.m. Friday, March 31.

A World of Music, Middlesex Community College’s 2017 spring concert series, begins with Melodies Through Ages & Places: Music for Solo Guitar, and Two Guitars and Tenor, to be held at 8 p.m. Friday, March 31, in MCC’s Concert Hall (Building 6), on the Bedford campus, 591 Springs Road. The concert is free and open to the public.
Middlesex music faculty member Raley Beggs, guitar, will be joined by Austin Burns, tenor, and Jonas Kublickas, guitar and melodica, for a concert of trios by Samuel Barber, Charles Ives, Cole Porter, and songs from the Traditional American Songbook. Beggs will also perform solo guitar pieces by Francesco da Milano, Enrique Granados and Claude Debussy.
Beggs earned a bachelor of music at Florida State University, and a master of music from New England Conservatory of Music. He teaches and performs widely throughout the greater Boston area as a soloist and chamber musician. He joined the music faculty at MCC in fall 2016.

Burns, tenor and songwriter, started performing live upon settling in Austin, Texas, in 2010. A young songwriter with a seemingly ancient soul, his genre-defying music bows to no convention.
A native of Vilnius, Lithuania, Kublickas won the Baltic States Guitar competition. Recent performances include recitals of solo and chamber music repertoire at the New England Conservatory, Boston University and throughout Massachusetts.
