MCC’s Links Programs Offers FREE Opportunity to Start College

MCC's Links Program is a tuition-free program designed to provide extra support for students starting college – Fall semester starts Sept. 4

Middlesex Community College’s Links Program is a tuition-free program designed to provide extra support for students starting college. Applications are currently being accepted for the fall semester and classes start Wednesday, Sept. 4.

Links provides an opportunity for eligible students to earn college and institutional credits FREE over the course of one or two semesters. As students begin their college education, the program provides academic guidance and support, as well as skills assessment and career planning.

Links classes are small and comprised entirely of other Links students. They are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays on MCC’s Bedford campus. (Free shuttle service is available from the Lowell campus.) Enrolled students also have access to MCC facilities – such as the libraries and Fitness Center – as well as a wide variety of student services.

Eligible applicants must have a high school credential (diploma, HiSET® or GED®), be a Massachusetts resident, and place into Links courses via the MCC College Placement Test. Priority is given to students who previously attended MCC’s Adult Learning Center or other Adult Basic Education Programs, but other students are encouraged to apply.

Links is funded by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education, in partnership with Middlesex.
