MCC’s Spring Celebrity Forum Welcomes Two Musical Legends
The MCC Foundation is proud to announce the Spring 2023 Celebrity Forum, featuring the Temptations and the Four Tops
The Middlesex Community College Foundation is proud to announce the Spring 2023 Celebrity Forum, featuring the Temptations and the Four Tops – two Rock and Roll Hall of Fame legends! The event will take place on Tuesday, May 16 at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium.
A donor reception for sponsors will start off the event at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner and the 8 p.m. performance. Proceeds from the event provide support for scholarships for MCC students. The annual fundraiser is the best way to support MCC students while having a great night out.
“Every year, it is an honor to come together as a community and celebrate student success at our Celebrity Forum,” said Phil Sisson, MCC’s President. “Thank you to our generous sponsors whose support – combined with the tireless work of the MCC Foundation – plays a vital role in ensuring that our students have access to opportunities inside and outside of the classroom to help them pursue their dreams. Scholarships allow our students to focus more on their studies and stay on track to reach their goals. I look forward to witnessing the talents of these two fantastic performing groups, while celebrating a wonderful evening of music and philanthropy.”

For over 20 years, Middlesex has brought well-known personalities to Greater Lowell for the educational and cultural enrichment of area residents, including a virtual event in 2021. In Fall 2022, the Foundation expanded the event by welcoming Kal Penn to Lexington Cary’s Hall.
“We are excited to bring two sensational musical acts to the Lowell Memorial Auditorium stage whose decades’ long careers continue to entertain audiences worldwide,” said Judy Burke, MCC’s Executive Director of Advancement. “The MCC Foundation is proud to transform the lives of Middlesex students through the awarding of scholarships funded in part by our event sponsors. We are grateful to our community partners for being able to continue sponsoring these tremendous events for the Greater Lowell community and look forward to another successful evening of music and celebration.”

Often referred to as “American Music Royalty,” The Temptations are world-renowned superstars, revered for their phenomenal catalog of music and prolific career. The group’s 60-year history spans both the 20th and 21st centuries and their music transcend generations.
The Four Tops made their first single in 1956 and spent seven years on the road and in nightclubs. The first Motown hit “Baby I Need Your Loving” made them stars and their sixties track record on the label is indispensable to any retrospective of the decade. Their success has continued over many decades, as it does still today.
The TJX Companies, Inc., proud Presenting Sponsor of MCC’s spring fundraisers since 1999, has returned to support this year’s Celebrity Forum.
