MCC Students to Perform Recital for “World of Music” Concert Seri
MCC's Student Recital will air online at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, December 11
Middlesex Community College has been creative in offering online formats and programming this semester, despite the pandemic preventing on-campus events from happening. Middlesex will close out this semester’s “World of Music” concert series with an MCC Student Recital. The concert will air at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, December 11.
"During this time when people are isolated and cut off from each other, it is important for our students to be able to share and communicate through music,” said Carmen Rodriguez-Peralta, MCC’s Chair of Music. “We are delighted that we can feature them in this Student Recital, where they were either recorded at home or in one of our Halls at Middlesex."
The Student Recital will feature student singers, pianists, a solo guitarist, a trio of guitarists, a cellist and the MCC World Drumming Ensemble. The concert series previously featured performances by Rodriguez-Peralta on the piano; “Lowell Threads” by members of the Lowell Chamber Orchestra (LCO) and MCC faculty members; Jerome Mouffe on the guitar; and “Hidden Landscapes” by the LCO.
