Middlesex Community College’s Music Department presents Luis Leguia and the Carbon-Fiber Cello from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, in MCC’s Federal Building Assembly Room, 50 Kearney Square, on the Lowell campus. This event is free and open to the public.
Luis Leguia, recently retired Boston Symphony Orchestra cellist and inventor of Luis & Clark carbon-fiber string instruments, will talk about and play his carbon-fiber cello.

MCC faculty member and pianist Carmen Rodriguez-Peralta will join Leguia to perform several short pieces for cello and piano. MCC faculty member Johannah Segarich will describe how this new invention will be important to the cultural life of Cambodia, through the Strings for Cambodia campaign.
