
Middlesex Community College’s free concert series, A World of Music, continues with a performance by the Boston Saxophone Quartet, at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3, in the MCC Concert Hall (Building 6) on the Bedford campus, 591 Springs Road. The concert is free and open to the public.
This ensemble features a unique blend of musicians (combining a tremendous range of repertoire and individual experience) who perform in a variety of styles, ranging from the Renaissance to the present. They will play works by Luis Milan, Giovanni Gabrieli, Antonin Dvorak, Stephen Foster, Irving Berlin and the Beatles.

Members of the Boston Saxophone Quartet include Tom Ferrante, soprano sax/bass clarinet, Bob Bowlby, alto sax/flute and piccolo, Peter Cokkinias, tenor sax/clarinet, and Rod Ferland, baritone sax/oboe. Members of the quartet have performed with the Boston Pops and Boston Symphony Orchestra and leading Broadway theaters throughout New England.

Other events in MCC’s free A World of Music fall concert series include an MCC Faculty Recital featuring Mark Berger, Adam Levin, Carmen Rodriguez-Peralta and Anna Ward at 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22 in MCC’s Concert Hall on the Bedford campus.
A fall MCC Student Recital will also be held. Student instrumentalists and singers will perform at 12:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9, in the MCC Concert Hall on the Bedford campus.
