
Middlesex Community College’s A World of Music fall concert series concludes with an MCC Faculty Recital, featuring Mark Berger, violin/viola, Adam Levin, guitar, Carmen Rodriguez-Peralta, piano, and Anna Ward, soprano, at 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, in the MCC Concert Hall (Building 6) on the Bedford campus, 591 Springs Road.
Free and open to the public, the concert will feature a colorful program of solos, duos and trios by Astor Piazzolla, Franz Schubert, Eduardo Morales-Caso, Lorenzo Palomo and Samuel Barber.
Composer/violist/violinist Mark Berger is very active in the Boston area and has performed with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Boston Pops, Emmanuel Music, Boston Modern Orchestra Project and Boston Lyric Opera. He is on the music faculty at Middlesex, UMass Lowell and Clark University.

Carmen Rodríguez-Peralta, pianist, has appeared as soloist and chamber musician throughout the United States, Peru and Mexico. She is Chair of the Music Department at Middlesex and Director of A World of Music Concert Series.
Guitarist Adam Levin has performed across the United States and Europe and is the recipient of numerous honors, including being named as a Fulbright Scholar in the field of music performance. As part of a fundraising effort for Hurricane Katrina victims, Levin directed the Concert for Gulf Coast Aid, which raised $10,000 for hurricane relief.

Anna Ward, soprano is an active artist throughout New England. Ward was featured this season with the Raylynmor Opera, Lorelei Ensemble, Coro-Dante, Copley Singers, the Freisinger Chamber Orchestra, the Longfellow Chorus and Seraphim Singers.

A fall MCC Student Recital will also be held. Student instrumentalists and singers will perform at 12:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9, in the MCC Concert Hall on the Bedford campus.
