Middlesex CC to Offer Virtual Open House for Prospective Students

MCC will host a Virtual Open House at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26

By offering flexible and affordable options, Middlesex Community College makes getting an education even easier. To help prospective students and their families better understand the process of applying for and attending college, Middlesex will host a Virtual Open House at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26.

“One of the ways MCC provides flexible and accessible options is through a variety of on-campus, online and hybrid opportunities, including course formats and support services,” said Jillian Freitas-Haley, MCC’s Assistant Dean of Admissions. “In addition to our successful in-person Open Houses, our Virtual Open House provides a chance for prospective students and their families to explore all that the college has to offer. Participants can ask questions and choose what they want to learn about most.”

During the Virtual Open House, participants will get to choose from a series of sessions on the steps to enrollment, paying for college, and course placement. Sessions will also cover how to access student support services, including advising, tutoring, the Libraries, and resources for BIPOC and LGBTQ+ students. Participants will also have an opportunity to meet with faculty and staff across Middlesex to ask questions about academic programs, pathways and potential career opportunities.

The event will use the software – SCHED – to provide a dynamic virtual experience. After registering for the Open House, participants will receive an email from SCHED providing them with instructions to sign-up for their preferred sessions.

The college hosted two in-person Open Houses, one on the Lowell campus on Wednesday, April 6 and another on the Bedford campus on Wednesday, April 13.
