Middlesex CC to Put on Play by Award-Winning Playwright
MCC is proud to present "Dead Man's Cell Phone" from Thursday, December 8 through Sunday, December 11 at the Academic Arts Center in Lowell

Middlesex Community College’s Theatre department is proud to present “Dead Man’s Cell Phone” as their Fall 2022 production. Written by award-winning playwright Sarah Ruhl, the play will run from Thursday, December 8 through Sunday, December 11 at MCC’s Richard and Nancy Donahue Family Academic Arts Center in Lowell.
"’Dead Man's Cell Phone’ is a play about the journey of a woman forced to confront her presumptions about morality, redemption and isolation in a technologically obsessed society,” said Karen Oster, MCC’s Chair of Performing Arts. “This couldn't be timelier as we struggle to move from our technologically immersed world and isolation back to being together."
The play explores the ways in which the current technology-driven world can bring people together and push them apart at the same time. It first premiered in Washington, D.C. in 2007 and Off-Broadway in March of 2008.
