Middlesex Community College will host Johnny Earle, founder of the popular T-shirt brand Johnny Cupcakes in a special program to be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, in the Bedford Campus Cafeteria, 591 Springs Road. This event, which is free and open to the public, will also feature an on-site pop-up shop.
Over the past decade Johnny Cupcakes has grown from a “joke” to a multi-million dollar, highly exclusive T-shirt brand driven by a community of world-wide collectors. Earle will share his story about how he took his brand from the trunk of his rusty car at age 19, to some of the world’s most sought-after retail locations.
“Johnny reminds me so much of our students who have great ideas, drive and enthusiasm for what they want to become in life,” said Deborah Walsh, Assistant Dean of Business, Entrepreneurship and Legal Studies. “He can show students that entrepreneurship is more than a career choice – it is a way of thinking about the world and bringing the passion they have for life to everything they do.”
