Middlesex Community College’s One World Series will host Gary Hirshberg, co-founder and chairman of Stonyfield Farm Yogurt, in a special program at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, in MCC’s Federal Building Assembly Room, 50 Kearney Square, on the Lowell campus. Admission is free and open to the public.
Hirshberg develops sustainable and socially responsible technologies and practices for businesses. He has worked with Stonyfield Farm since 1983. During his tenure, Stonyfield grew from a seven-cow organic farming school to a thriving business that brings in $360 million in annual sales. Hirshberg credits the growth rate to consistently producing superior products, and using an innovative marketing strategy that blends the company’s social, environmental and financial missions.
