Middlesex Offers Project Management and PMP® Exam Prep Courses

Middlesex Community College offers a wide variety of career enhancement courses including courses in project management. Registration is now open for the spring semester. Courses begin Saturday, Jan. 25.

 

“Intro to Project Management” (CAR 826 30) – This course covers everything project participants, sponsors, stakeholders and managers need to know in order to understand and participate in the project management process. Students will learn the significance of effective project management and how their role can affect future project management results. Students will learn various tools, techniques and processes necessary for sound project management, best practices and team-building and networking skills.

“Project Management Essentials” (CAR 719 30) – This fundamentals course is for those who want to gain a basic foundation in project management, even if they are not yet planning or ready to take the PMP/CAMP exam. Taught in a hybrid format – part face-to-face instruction and part online – the course aligns with PMI®’s “PMBOK® guide, 5th edition,” to ensure participants are well versed in project management fundamentals.

“PMP® and CAPM® Exam Prep” (CAR 806 30) –This fast-paced, intensive exam prep course will review key concepts, terms principles, and challenge students with sample exam questions and other exercises to prepare for the PMP® Exam, required to gain the sought-after PMP® credential. This hybrid course will be taught using real world case studies using PMI’s framework on project management fundamentals, best practices, and tools every project manager needs to successfully complete a project. The workshop will provide quizzes, flash cards, and tips and tricks for exam prep.
