
Middlesex Community College Professor of Business Administration Dr. James Dottin has been selected to serve as one of six HP Life Faculty Ambassadors by the National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship (NACCE) and HP, one of the world’s largest technology companies.
As an HP Life Faculty Ambassador, Dr. Dottin will assist in providing options and best practices to help integrate the use of HP Life, a free, cloud-based e-learning program, into classrooms. The program is designed to foster entrepreneurship and grow local economies, and help students understand how technology can be used to launch small, local businesses.

“HP Life e-learning is an online, interactive curriculum designed for the entrepreneurial-minded learner,” said Professor Dottin. “The innovative, self-paced program modules focus on finance, marketing, communication and operations. Each module integrates business concepts and information technology skill development in real-life business scenarios.”

Professor Dottin has already integrated HP Life e-Learning into his “Introduction to Business,” “Principles of Marketing” and “Computer Applications” courses. “This program has been very effective in helping students make real-life connections to the principles of business,” he said. “It has made a significant difference to students’ understanding of life in the working world.”
Dr. Dottin recently spoke at the NACCE 2013 Entrepreneurship Conference: Fueling the Local Economy in Charlotte, N.C.
