Motorcycle Accident on North Road Sends One to Hospital

The following information was provided by the Bedford Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Aug. 26

At 3:04 p.m., a person walked into the station with a cell phone he found at Springs Road and Hillside Avenue. The owner of the cell phone picked up the phone from the station.

At 4:10 p.m., an officer spoke to a juvenile riding a dirt bike on Hartwell Road and asked him not to ride the bike in the area.

At 4:47 p.m., Bedford Police put an intoxicated Lexington man into protective custody.

Tuesday, Aug. 27

At 7:21 a.m., firefighters responded to Sovereign Bank on Great Road after a report of smoldering mulch. Firefighters soaked the area.

At 3:44 p.m., a Hillcrest Road resident reported vandalism to her property. Police took a report.

At 6:12 p.m., police responded to Crosby Drive about a dog locked in a parked car. The dog appeared OK, but police spoke to the owner and asked him not to leave a dog in the car again. 

Wednesday, Aug. 28

At 7:55 a.m., police responded to North Road concerning a motorcycle accident on North Road. A motorcyclist was taken to an area hospital. 

Thursday, Aug. 29

At 9:39 p.m., a Dunster Road resident reported someone trying to break into her home. Police spoke to the man, who was intoxicated. He was taken into protective custody.
