National Aviation Academy Competing in Aerospace Maintenance Competition
National Aviation Academy competing in Aerospace Maintenance Competition for second year in a row.

BEDFORD, Mass. – National Aviation Academy is sending two teams to Dallas to compete in the Aerospace Maintenance Competition (AMC) April 5th – 7th at the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center. This competition is held in conjunction with the MRO Americas Conference and is an opportunity for competitors to test their mechanical skills against those of their peers.
Aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, students and military personnel from all over the world will be competing. Teams are separated into six categories, Military, Commercial Aviation, General Aviation, School, MRO/OEM and Space, and will compete in 25 different events, lasting 15 minutes each. Judging will be based on how fast and accurate each event is completed. The scores from all of the events will be added together to make up the final overall competition score.
NAA’s New England team consists of five members plus one alternate. To qualify, students were required to participate in the Aviation Maintenance Competition at NAA’s open house in February. They were also chosen based on grades, attendance and teacher recommendations.
