Nominate A Bedford Resident For Citizen Of The Year

BEDFORD, MA – Know someone who has contributed to the growth of Bedford? The town is now accepting nominees for its "Citizen of the Year" award. Submissions must include a written blurb about how the individual has benefited the town.

Several additional guidelines should be considered as well:

1. Time spent and benefit resulting to the town in general

• Can cover any time period

• Can be supported by additional letters or endorsement of others

2. Town Affiliations and Organizations

• Resident of Town of Bedford

• All Town organizations, including not for profit organizations or volunteer groups that benefit the town

• Elected officials may not be selected while holding office

• Town employees’ honor may not be associated with current position

• Prior services should be considered: either elected, voluntary or appointed town positions or committees

3. Individual contributions that benefit the town.
