Police: Downed Wires and Suspicious Solicitors

The following information was provided by the Bedford Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction

Monday, Oct. 1

10:43 a.m.- Police received a call from the clerk at the Bedford Gulf gas station reporting a customer had lost their credit card. Officers responded and spoke with the individual, who had not lost their credit card, but did not understand how to pay with a credit card at the pump. The responding officer explained to the customer how to use a credit card at the pump.

4:24 p.m.- A resident of Carlisle Road reported low hanging wires to the police. Officers responded and notified Nstar.

5:53 p.m.- Police received a call from Page Road reporting an abandoned bicycle on their front lawn. 

7:45 p.m.- Police responded to a call regarding a disabled vehicle on Great Road near Roberts Drive. Responding officers reported the vehicle was not a hazard, and the operator of the vehicle had called a tow truck.

8:12 p.m.- A caller reported two individuals going door to door in the area of Wildwood Drive and Beverly Road speaking about trash. Officers searched the area but could not locate the individuals.

9:43 p.m.- Police received a call reporting downed wires in front of 139 Old Billerica Road. Officers responded, closing down Old Billerica Road and Wagon Wheel Road in that area. Nstar was notified.
