Police: Egged Cars and Runaway Pitbulls

The following information was provided by the Bedford Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Oct. 8

9:12 a.m.- Lexington Alarm called the Bedford Police Department to report an alarm at 208 North Road. While officers were responding, an individual came into the station to report she was a friend of the homeowner and had accidentally set off the alarm. 

11:09 a.m.- Police received a call reporting a disabled vehicle was creating a road hazard on Burlington Road at Route 3. The responding officer reported the vehicle was gone upon arrival.

12:09 p.m.- Police received a call reporting toilet paper and excrement inside the Lt. Eleazer Davis Elementary School playground. The Department of Public Works was notified.

1:46 p.m.- An officer observed a car in the parking lot of Whole Foods had been egged. The officer notified the owner of the vehicle and made the youth who had thrown the eggs clean them off the car. The youth's mother was notified.

2:01 p.m.- Police received a call reporting three motorcycles operating erratically on Great Road near Loomis Street. Officers were dispatched, but the motorcycles were gone upon a search of the area.

3:36 p.m.- A caller reported a suspicious vehicle parked on Ledgewood Drive at Lido Lane. Officers responded and reported the vehicle was parked legally on Robinson Drive.

5:43 p.m.- A caller reported a loose pit bull without tags running loose in the area of Ridgewood Lane and Noreen Drive. Responding officers reported the dog was gone upon their arrival.

10:30 p.m.- Police received a call from a motorist reporting she had struck a deer in the area of 210 Springs Road. Officers responded but could not find the deer upon their arrival.
