Police Log: Rogue Trash Barrels and Mysterious Gunshots
The following information was provided by the Bedford Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Aug. 20
8:52 a.m.- ADT Home Security called the Bedford Police Department to report a burglar alarm on Stagecoach Road. The responding officers spoke with the homeowner and the alarm was turned off.
9:19 a.m.- Police responded to reports of a car crash on Burlington Road. No one was injured.

11:55 a.m.- Police responded to a call from a motorist that a trash barrel fell off a landscaper's trailer and hit the caller's vehicle at Brooksbie Road and Hill Road.
3:15 p.m.- An officer responded to a call from a Glenridge Drive resident that a suspicious vehicle was parked in their driveway. The responding officer reported that the vehicle was gone upon his arrival.

4:45 p.m.- A resident of Concord Road reported that her son had run away from home on a bicycle with a bag of food and water, heading for Concord. The responding officer reported that the child was found in the custody of a friend and returned him home.
5:41 p.m.- Police responded to a call from a Sheridan Road resident who reported that her neighbor's pool did not have a fence around it. The responding officer spoke with the owner of the pool and found that the Town of Bedford had inspected and approved the pool.
9:41 p.m.- Police received multiple calls regarding sounds resembling gunshots being heard in the area behind Putnam Road and Davis Road. The responding officer checked the area and found it quiet.
