Police Log: Report of Blood Turns Out to be a Lollipop
The following information was provided by the Bedford Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, May 10
- At 6:38 a.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Great Road at Ashby Road. One vehicle was towed. There were no reported injuries.
- At 11:32 a.m., a person reported that a credit card was stolen on North Road. Police took a report.
- At 1:19 p.m., a person reported receiving threatening texts. Police took a report.
- At 3:05 p.m., police received a report of threats.
- At 10:45 p.m., police responded to a call for an erratic driver who was reportedly driving slowly and crossing the yellow lines. An officer pulled over the vehicle on Great Road and found the driver was not impaired.
Saturday, May 11
- At 11:50 a.m., police received a 911 hang-up call from Albion Road. Police called back and spoke to a woman who said her phone is through Vonage and she is currently out of the country. An officer checked the house and found everything was OK.
- At 2:21 p.m., police and fire responded to Railroad Avenue about downed wires. The wires weren’t a hazard. Police notified NStar.
- At 3:59 p.m., a Hartwell Road resident called police after a tree brought down wires and knocked off service to a home. Police notified Verizon, Comcast and the DPW.

At 6:30 a.m., police responded to a Great Road business about a suspicious package in a lobby. Police found the box was empty and everything was OK.
At 6:47 a.m., police responded Great Road about the possibility of blood in an ATM. An officer found it was not blood, but it was from a lollypop.

At 9:40 a.m., police responded toad residential alarm on Willard Circle. Police found a cat walking inside that home set off the alarm.
Monday, May 13
- At 7:11 a.m., a Karen Drive resident reported a man was taking photos of the front of her home. When she confronted the man, the man ran away. Police were unable to locate the man.
Tuesday, May 14
- At 1:19 p.m., a Selfridge Road resident reported a possibly sick raccoon in her backyard that was headed toward the woods. Police were unable to locate the animal.
- At 3:01 p.m., police responded to a call on Dunster Road concerning a parent arguing with a bus driver. Police spoke to the two people involved. School administration and the bus company will handle.
- At 4:59 p.m., police received a report of credit card fraud. Police filed a report.
- At 7:45 p.m., police were called to the Hillcrest Road area concerning two males -- one dressed all in black and possibly carrying a gun. Police spoke to the males, who said they were shooting a BB gun at a friend’s house.
Wednesday, May 15
- At 11:03 p.m., police responded to Bedford High School concerning a large group of suspicious kids in the student parking lot. Police spoke to the kids who were playing a game.
Thursday, May 16
- At 12:25 a.m., a Dunster Road resident called police after a man showed up at her house and said he was a VA patient who was dropped off at the wrong location. Police were unable to locate the man.
- At 8:02 p.m., police responded to Hayden Lane about a suspicious person in the woods. Police spoke to the person who was playing a game of tag.
