Police Log: Parking Lot Fights, Missing Cellphones at Bedford Day and False Alarms
The following information was provided by the Bedford Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, Sept. 14
12:23 a.m.- An erratic driver was reported exiting from Route 3 North onto Route 62. The caller reported the driver was varying his speed and could not stay in one lane. Police responded, but the vehicle could not be located.
6:02 a.m.- Police received reports of an alarm at 213 Burlington Road, home to The Melting Pot. Responding officers reported the building's cleaning crew had set the alarm off by accident.

9:14 a.m.- A resident of Bedford Villiage Apartments reported that his licence plate had been stolen.
11:51 a.m.- The Bedford Police Department received a call from the Lexington Police Department to assist in a search for two suspects who had broken into several vehicles and then fled toward Bedford. LPD relayed to BPD that the report had been a misunderstanding, and that there had been no car break-ins.

1:12 p.m.- Police responded to call of illegal dumping at 305 Davis Road. The responding officer spoke with the offender, and the trash was removed.
3:37 p.m.- A caller reported a hit and run crash in the parking lot of the DoubleTree Hotel at 44 Middlesex Turnpike.
6:18 p.m.- Police received a call from an individual who reported being harassed by a man in a yellow shirt and blue jeans while walking on Great Road in front of the Jiffy Lube. The caller also reported this was the second time she had been confronted by the same individual at that location. When police arrived on the scene, the male was gone.
11:20 p.m.- A resident of Carlisle Road reported a group of four to six "high school aged" kids walking on the double yellow line in the center of the road between the town dump and Northside Convenience. Police did not find the group while checking the area.
Saturday, Sept. 15
12:40 a.m.- Police received a report of two men fighting in the parking lot of Northside Convenience. The caller said the two men were on the ground fighting. The responding officer found one of the men walking up Carlisle Road with no shirt on.
1:48 p.m.- An officer found a cellphone left near the Boy Scout's table at the Bedford Day Fair. Two girls came into the Bedford Police Department looking for a phone one of them lost at the fair. One of the girls was able to unlock the phone, and the police returned the phone to her.
1:53 p.m.- An Elm Street resident reported her son had left the house without permission and was most likely in attendance at the Bedford Day ceremonies.
3:54 p.m.- Police responded to a call reporting a car crash in the parking lot of Whole Foods Market. No one was injured.
11:52 p.m.- The manager of the DoubleTree Hotel reported observing two men drinking in the parking lot of the hotel. He said he was worried about the men driving away. Responding officers discovered the men were staying at the Hampton Inn across the street.
