Police: Missing Husbands, Unregistered Solicitors and Erratic Drivers
The following information was provided by the Bedford Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Saturday, Sept. 29
8:08 a.m.- Police received a call from a guest at Hanscom Air Force Base reporting that her husband had left to go for a run at 12:15 a.m. and had not yet returned home. BPD responded along with the Lincoln Police Department, Hanscom AFB Security and a K-9 unit from the Billerica Police Department. Police notified surrounding cities and towns that the man was last seen wearing dark shorts, a t-shirt and no shoes. After searching Hanscom, the man was located and transported to the VA hospital for unknown injuries.
12:10 p.m.- A resident of Colony Circle reported two possible unregistered solicitor from Verizon going door to door on the street. Officers spoke with the solicitors and determined one had a permit and the other was training. The two were reminded of the town by-laws regarding solicitors and told to continue.

9:47 p.m.- BPD received a call from the Massachusetts State Police reporting an erratic driver in a maroon sedan exiting Route 3 at exit 26. The State Police reported they had a caller following the vehicle, which was swerving across the road, had hit a jersey barrier and continued driving. Officers were dispatched, but upon searching the area, could not locate the vehicle.

12:14 a.m.- Police recieved a call reporting a suspicious individual wearing a suit, walking up Winthrop Avenue from Loomis Street. Officers checked the ares, but could not locate the individual. As the officers were leaving the area, one responding officer located the individual near Lane Avenue. The officer confirmed the man was out for a walk.
Noon- Police received a call reporting a traffic issue near 600 Springs Road. Responding officers spoke with the Veteran's Administration Medical Center Police Department, who reported there was a Crovette car show in the area, and the traffic would be alleviated when the show was over.
