Police Seek Man who Allegedly Robbed Bank in Bedford

BREAKING: Police say the suspect fits the description of a man who robbed a bank in New Hampshire on Thursday.

BEDFORD, MA — The Bedford Police Department is seeking the public's assistance and are actively searching for a man who allegedly robbed a bank in Bedford Monday morning, according to police.

Bedford Police Chief Robert Bongiorno announced Monday evening that police are searching for a man who allegedly robbed the Citizens Bank inside Stop and Shop on Great Road. Police responded to the bank at 6:40 p.m. Monday, and learned that a man passed a note to the teller demanding money, according to the announcement.

The man later fled the store with an undetermined amount of cash, according to police. No one was injured.

Bongiorno's announcement described the suspect as a white, bald man, who has tattoos on his left arm. At the time of the robbery he was wearing a Patriots jersey with the number 87 on it and a wedding ring.

According to the announcement, the suspect also fits the description of a man who robbed a bank in Salem, N.H. on Aug. 18.
