Police: Shoplifting at CVS and Rogue Beagles
The following information was provided by the Bedford Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, Oct. 17
1:46 a.m.- Police received a call from CVS reporting an incident of shoplifting had occured. The employee reported chasing two males out of the store and observing them get into a silver Mercedes and fled on Great Road toward Route 128. Officers were dispatched and area departments were notified.
8:03 a.m.- Police received a call from the Belmont Police Department requesting officers check the well-being of a town of Belmont employee who lives in Bedford on Dunster Road. Officers checked the address, but there was no car in the driveway and no one answered the door. Police later received a call reporting the individual was fine and had showed up for work.

8:34 a.m.- An individual came into the Bedford Police Department to report a male had been taking pictures of a group home on Elmbrook Circle at approximately 7:50 a.m. Officers told the reporting party they would attempt to find out if anyone had been taking photos in the area in an official capacity.
10:22 a.m.- A employee of Sovereign Bank called the police to report they found a clip with ammunition in it in the parking lot of the bank. Officers responded and took possession of the clip.

1:35 p.m.- Police received a call reporting a beagle was running in and out of traffic on Page Road near Crestview Road. The Animal Control Officer responded but could not find the dog upon searching the area.
1:58 p.m.- Police received a call from the assistant property manager of Bedford Villiage who reported he had received several complaints from residents about loud music in the area. Officers responded and it was determined the music was coming from a group of youths in the parking lot at Marshalls. An officer spoke with the operator of the vehicle and the group was sent on their way.
5:55 p.m.- A caller reported losing her keys on the path between Dunster Road and Marshalls. There were 5 keys attached to a red lanyard.
8:15 p.m.- Police recieved a call reporting a possible sick or injured raccoon on Neillian Street. The Animal Control Officer responded, and the animal was euthanized.
9:58 p.m.- A caller at 48 Great Road reported they were locked out of their vehicle. An officer responded and helped the individual gain access to their vehicle.
