Police: Silly String and Truants
The following information was provided by the Bedford Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Oct. 15
9:08 a.m.- The Bedford Police Department received a call from a resident of Elm Street reporting her son did not want to go to school. An officer responded and transported the boy to John Glenn Middle School.
9:19 a.m.- A resident of Sorens Way reported their fence had been vandalised. An officer responded and reported the fence had not been vandalised, there was just silly string on it.

7:18 p.m.- A resident of Hartford Street called BPD to report a male, around 20 years of age, wearing a gray shirt and a baseball hat, approached their back door and appeared disoriented. Officers responded and spoke to the individual who said he had approached the wrong house.
7:57 p.m.- An officer reported he was out on the boat landing on Carlisle Road where two vehicles were parked on the side of the road. The officer reported he spoke with the two individuals who were searching for a deer one of them had shot earlier that day.

8:06 p.m.- A caller reported a suspicious individual who appeared unsteady on his feet walking on Loomis Street toward South Road. Officers responded, but could not locate the individual.
10:44 p.m.- Police received a call reporting a male who appeared to be asleep on the ground on Wiggins Avenue. The reporting person said he woke the man up, and that he appeared to be under the influence. Police responded and transported the man home.
Tuesday, Oct. 16
7:45 a.m.- Police received a call reporting a motor vehicle accident with no injuries at the Bedford/Lexington town line. Officers responded and reported the accident took place in Lexington.
9:54 a.m.- A caller reported witnessing a vehicle struck a deer in front of 155 Concord Road. The caller said the car had struck the animal and drove off. Police responded and notified the Department of Public Works. The deer was removed from the road.
12:56 p.m.- Police received a report of a group of teenagers walking on Elm Street at Mudge Way who were possibly carrying a rifle. Officers responded but could not locate the group.
