Register Now for MCC Communication Programs

Enrollment is now open for MCC's Communication degree programs. Mini-mester II begins Monday, Oct. 28

Enrollment is now open for Middlesex Community College’s Communication degree programs. Mini-mester II begins Monday, Oct. 28, and financial aid is available for those who qualify.

"The Communication program at MCC prepares students to enter the work force after graduation, or transfer to a four-year degree program. We offer state of the art production equipment and editing facilities, as well as excellent faculty who have experience in the field. Our courses cover everything from digital media production and social media, to journalism and public relations,” said Jennifer Bauer, Chair of the Communication Department.

MCC offers two Communication associate in science degree options:

Communication Career ­– Designed to prepare students for direct workforce entry, this option provides a strong general communication background through practical application of digital media production tools, plus communication history, theory and ethics. Many people currently working in the field choose this program to expand their potential for growth in the workforce.

Communication Transfer – Students in this program study communication history, theory and ethics, as well as develop creative, analytical and technical skills through practical application of digital media production tools. This program qualifies for MassTransfer, which guarantees credit transfer to MA state universities and University of Massachusetts.

There will be a Pathway Open House on Wednesday, November 13, at 4:30 p.m. in the Lowell Campus Federal Building Assembly Room for those interested in careers in Communications.
