Registration for Middlesex Community College’s Summer 2021 semester is now open. Offering a mix of online and blended hybrid course options, Middlesex sets up students for success. With flexible schedules, high-quality courses and affordable prices, MCC students can have a productive summer and reach their goals. The Summer semester starts on Tuesday, June 1.

Students of all ages and stages on their academic pathways can take advantage of MCC’s Summer semester to improve their GPA, finish their degree faster, earn transferable college credits and get an early start on their education.

“Summer is a great time for current students to accelerate their courses and finish their degrees from other institutions to earn credits that can easily be transferred back to their colleges,” said Audrey Nahabedian, MCC’s Dean of Enrollment Management. “Many of our new students also successfully use summer courses to get a head start in their programs, and taking courses provides a way for them to ease into the college experience.”

For 21 years, Middlesex has designed award-winning online curriculums that allow students to interact with content, professors and their fellow students in immersive and meaningful ways. The Summer 2021 semester will run via three primary learning modalities – synchronous online, asynchronous online, and blended face-to-face with online learning.

Students taking synchronous online courses attend live classes at specific dates and times, and engage with professors and classmates in a live, remote setting using a camera and microphone.

In asynchronous online classes, students work independently while meeting deadlines, engage with the class on their own schedules, and have on-going access to online materials.

Hybrid course options allow students to complete coursework online and come to campus to complete practical course requirements. Students coming to campus will be in a controlled setting, following MCC’s strict safety practices, including social distancing and mask wearing.

MCC understands that students need to feel financially stable and supported. The college offers personalized financial aid counseling, payment plans and a supportive community to help keep students on track.

The summer semester starts on Tuesday, June 1, 2021. For more information and to register for courses, visit www.middlesex.mass.edu/summer/ or call 1-800-818-3434.
