Save Time and Money with Middlesex CC’s Mini-mester II Classes

MCC Mini-mester II classes start Monday, March 27!

Middlesex Community College’s Mini-mester II presents the perfect time to go back to school. Whether students know what they want to pursue or are hoping to explore a new subject, the accelerated eight-week session allows them to start taking classes now – instead of having to wait until summer or fall. Classes start Monday, March 27!

“One of the biggest benefits Middlesex offers to students is the ability to figure out what they want to do without making a huge time or financial commitment,” said Arlene Rodríguez, MCC’s Provost and Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs. “With over 80 associate degree and certificate programs available, students have the opportunity to complete transferable general education requirements, explore subjects, and dig more deeply into their field in the first two years of college.”

In just eight weeks, MCC’s Mini-mesters offer the same content, academic standards, and number of instructional hours as courses scheduled during the traditional 15-week semester. This allows students to fit more classes into their schedule overall.

Mini-mester course options include a variety of subjects, such as the arts and humanities, business, social science, and STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). Classes may be offered on-campus, online, hybrid or hyflex.

Students taking Mini-mester II classes can also qualify for financial aid. MCC encourages students to complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) to find out their eligibility.

“By giving them early exposure, students save time and money while also gaining a stronger sense of what career they want to pursue,” Rodríguez said.
