Middlesex Community College offers a variety of Education Programs that help prepare students interested in starting a career in teaching.
Registration is now open for fall semester, and classes begin Wednesday, Sept. 4. Financial aid is also available for those who qualify.

MCC’s Early Childhood Education Certificate is a one-year intensive program of study that provides educational background and supervised training for students interested in working with young children.
The Early Childhood Education Associate Degree emphasizes developmentally appropriate practice and has a child-centered focus. Students learn and apply theory with hands-on experience in a required practicum.

The Early Childhood Education Transfer Associate Degree is designed to prepare students to transfer into a bachelor’s degree program leading to teacher licensure. Supervised student teaching seminars and/or Service-Learning placements in area schools provide practical experience. This program qualifies for MassTransfer.
The Elementary Education Transfer Concentration Degree is also designed for transfer to a bachelor’s degree program leading to teacher licensure. Future teachers are encouraged to gain practical classroom experience through student teaching and/or Service-Learning opportunities. This program is eligible for MassTransfer.
