Storm Cancels Bedford Selectmen Meeting, Town Events

BEDFORD, MA — Students aren't the only ones in Bedford who got a snow day — the town selectmen are staying in with hot cocoa too after Monday night's scheduled meeting was postponed due to the weather. The meeting will be held on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

The first snow of the season closed town offices early on Monday as well, with Town Hall, Town Center and the Library closing at 2:00 p.m. With snow predicted to fall into Tuesday morning, town offices will have a delayed opening Tuesday at 10:30 a.m.

Bedford Public Schools beat the Selectmen to the punch, announcing a snow day for Monday on Sunday night.

Students, and maybe some teachers, may still hold out hope for another snow day on Tuesday. The second and third parts of the season's first storm are starting to hit the state and overnight, Bay Staters could see a foot of snow. Snow starting Monday night is expected to last into Tuesday morning, according to the forecast.
