Students Have Three Chances to Start Classes at Middlesex CC
MCC's Spring 2022 semester offers three opportunities to start classes, including Monday, January 3

“After a successful Summer and Fall of offering on campus, online and hybrid courses and student support services, Middlesex Community College is once again looking forward to a flexible and affordable Spring 2022 schedule,” said Phil Sisson, MCC’s President.
To help make starting or continuing an education more accessible for students, Middlesex’s Spring 2022 semester offers three opportunities to start classes, including WinterSession and two accelerated Mini-mester sessions.
“Our exceptional learning experiences start with the commitment of our faculty and staff to the success of our students,” President Sisson said. “Regardless of how and when students choose to complete classes, they receive high-quality and immersive opportunities that will put them on their paths with knowledge and tools that work best for them.”

Providing students with an early start to the Spring semester, MCC’s WinterSession starts on Monday, January 3. WinterSession is a great opportunity for students to stay on track with their academic plans and complete courses during January – whether they are Middlesex students or students from four-year colleges home for break.
The traditional 15-week semester starts on Monday, January 24. By taking classes or enrolling in one of 80 degree or certificate programs, Middlesex provides options for students of all ages and stages in their lives.

College students can get a better understanding of their path and earn transferable credits; high school students can gain college experience and take advantage of flexible learning platforms and student support services; and adult learners can go back to school and upgrade or learn new skills, as well as jumpstart a new career.
While MCC’s accelerated Mini-mester I starts on the same date as the traditional semester, the third chance for students to register for Spring classes is Mini-mester II, starting on Monday, March 28. These eight-week sessions cover the same content, maintain the same academic standards, and contain the same number of instructional hours as courses scheduled in the traditional 15-week semester.
The condensed Mini-mesters are an excellent opportunity for students to complete general education requirements in a variety of subjects, including English, history, social science and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).
Financial aid is available to qualifying students throughout MCC’s Spring 2022 semester. The college encourages students to fill out their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) because they often qualify for more support than they think. The deadline to apply for financial aid is May 1, 2022. Visit www.middlesex.mass.edu/financialaid/ for more information.
