• Massachusetts convenience store sells winning Powerball ticket (masslive.com) — A Powerball ticket bought at Hilltop Farms on Pulaski Boulevard in Bellingham just earned one local player $50,000 in the August 22 drawing. The winner matched four white balls plus the Powerball, one of hundreds of prizes claimed statewide as the jackpot rolled to an estimated $81 million.
• Business Starts for August 24 (wbjournal.com subscription) — Two new entities have just registered to do business from Bellingham addresses: Home Court Foundation Inc. on North Main Street and Wicked Baked Inc. on Mechanic Street. They're part of a larger wave of new Central Massachusetts companies filing incorporation paperwork in May.
