• Girl Scouts Lead Push for Air-Quality Sensors (belmontvoice.org) — Belmont Girl Scouts, guided by resident Dr. Carl Dahlberg, are adding five new air-quality sensors around town and are looking for residents and organizations to host them. With only one sensor currently in Belmont, the project aims to help families, seniors, and others check local air conditions before heading outside, especially during wildfire smoke events.
   

• These are the best high schools in Mass. in 2026, according to U.S. News (boston.com) — Belmont residents can take pride that Belmont High School ranks among Massachusetts' top 20 high schools overall and top 50 STEM schools nationally in U.S. News & World Report's 2026 rankings.
