Girl Scout Spreads Love for Gardening Through Seed Library (belmontvoice.org) — A Belmont Girl Scout has created a seed library at Chenery Upper Elementary School, inviting local families to take and later share seeds for healthy vegetables. Her project, part of a Silver Award, is already inspiring Belmont students and parents to garden together at home and could grow into a community-supported source of seeds in future seasons.

4. Obituary: Beryl Noble (belmontvoice.org) — Belmont is mourning Beryl Noble, a longtime resident active in the Belmont Dramatic Club, who recently passed away at age 89. Friends and neighbors are invited to her graveside service at Highland Meadow Cemetery on Concord Avenue on Saturday, Oct. 3, with donations in her memory suggested to a charity of one's choice.
