'Foot Soldiers Of Democracy': Belmont's State Senate Recount Reaffirms Brownsberger's Victory (belmontonian.com) ā A closely watched state senate primary recount at Belmont Town Hall has confirmed resident Sen. Will Brownsberger's narrow 35āvote districtwide victory, after every Belmont ballot was rechecked by local volunteers and officials. The process drew praise from both campaigns for its transparency, while underscoring Belmont's decisive support for Brownsberger compared with other communities in the district.

Belmont Day Camp Celebrates 80 Years of Summer Tradition (belmontvoice.org) ā Belmont families have an 80āyearāold summer staple in Belmont Day Camp, where kids swim, build robots, and explore arts and sports on the school's 11āacre campus. Directors and former campers describe a tightāknit, multigenerational community that now serves about 350 children a day, emphasizing socialāemotional learning, safety, and meaningful activities for working parents' long hours.

Cambridge Approves 4.6M SF Healthpeak Alewife Project (bankerandtradesman.com) ā A massive 4.6-million-square-foot redevelopment at Alewife, just over the Belmont line, has been approved in Cambridge and could reshape traffic, transit use, and nearby housing. The Cambridge Point project will add over 2,300 homes, large lab and office space, and new retail, while hinging on a long-discussed pedestrian bridge to the Alewife T station.
