• Belmont Voter Turnout Double Boston's in Suffolk & Middlesex District State Primary (belmontvoice.org) — Belmont voters turned out at a much higher rate than Boston in the Sept. 1 Democratic state primary, helping reelect Sen. William Brownsberger by just 35 votes districtwide. Local officials say Belmont's 35% turnout was driven by several Belmont-based candidates and contested races, though they still hope more residents will treat voting as a "sacred duty" in future elections.
